Let's Get Started!

Project QUILTING

I am a HUGE fan of the TV show Project Runway, and after watching my first few episodes I right away wanted to learn to make clothes. When I woke up from that delusion, I pondered for a moment what it was about Project Runway that so attracted me. Is it the fashion? Sure. Is it the people? Of course. But I think my real answer is: IT'S THE CHALLENGE. These people are given a task, a few dollars and little time to complete it yet they make the most amazing things. I want to do that!

Lecturing

I enjoy sharing my enthusiasm about creativity through teaching and lecturing. I've had amazing reviews from guilds and was honored to be a keynote speaker at the Wisconsin Museum of Quilts and Fiber Arts. Please contact me if you are interested in a virtual trunk show.

Get to Know Me

I am a 40+ year old mother, wife, artist, apple orchardist, retired civil engineer, and entrepreneur. I’m currently in a major quilting phase of my creative endeavors. In 2010, I came up with the concept for Project QUILTING and since we’ve started the challenges, thousands of quilts have been created and hundreds of quilters have been inspired.

I enjoy sharing my enthusiasm about creativity through teaching, lecturing, blogging and via social media.

For years my grandma told the story of my first "quilt" - which I made at age five from my mom's rag bin ... and included a furry toilet seat cover. Since then, I have improved upon my fabric choices (including designing my own fabrics) and enjoy creating a variety of sewn and dyed items.

Here's a look at some the quilts I made over the years. Enjoy!
